2050's Earth Adapting Buildings

Today, you might wonder; what inventions does the future hold? Throughout the years, science and technology has been advancing quickly. The iPhone, Android, iPad, and other outstanding inventions has made the life of an average human more efficient. So what changes exactly does the future hold? As for now, business news predict that in 2050, urban buildings will breathe and adapt. So what does this mean for the environment?
Rather than being just a tall, concrete building, skyscrapers will evolve as technology evolves. Future buildings will produce food, energy, and resources. The report was given by engineering firm, Arup, which designed the iconic Sydney Opera House, and is currently building a zero-carbon city in Dogtan, China.
The environmentally friendly skyscrapers are reported to be "living buildings", whose intelligence systems adjust to the needs of inhabitants, respond automatically to variations in weather, and are reconfigured by robots to produce more resources than they consume.
Josef Hargrave wrote, "The urban building of the future essentially functions as a living organism in its own right  reacting to the local environment and engaging with the users within,". Josef is a consultant with Arup's Foresight + Innovation division.
The building of the future is powered by renewable energy-in this case from external walls coated with photovoltaic paint, microwind turbines and an algae facade to produce biofuels. A nanoparticle membrane captures carbon and converts it to oxygen.
Vertical farms, which we're already seeing built, will be standard ways to produce meat, poultry, fish and vegetables.
Brain-like "intelligent building systems" will make "calculated" decisions about how to optimize resources by constantly tracking data on energy consumption, weather and the needs of residents.
I believe that these new innovative buildings will be a stamp on history for the environment. The buildings will help the citizen's of our society feel comfortable in the work environment. Not only will the buildings provide a more comfortable work space, but it will also provide a more environmentally friendly area to live in. There will be less consuming, and more producing. These 2050 buildings are surely a bright spot in a constant attempt to create a more healthy environment.
